We all know Debra Messing from her hit role on Will and Grace. Her last work on The Starter Wife got the show ten Emmy nominations. However the show fell off after two seasons and was canceled.

Now she is back, playing a CEO who gets laid off and becomes a stay at home mom while her husband goes to work. Messing would definitely fit that role perfectly. It is also a very relevant topic in today’s world with the recession hitting so many people.

The NBC pilot hasn’t received a name yet. The show was hotly battled over by ABC and NBC, it seems NBC won the rights to the new comedy as of late. NBC is getting a script commitment plus an episodic guarantee for Messing.

Hopefully for Messing this show will last more than two seasons.
