Prosecutor Brenda Morris in Trouble

For allegations of corruption and mishandling of the Ted Stevens case, Brenda Morris (pictured center) and two fellow trial attorneys in the Public Integrity Section, Nicholas Marsh and Edward Sullivan.

Senator Stevens was convicted Oct. 27 of seven counts of failing to disclose gifts, including home renovations, on his Senate financial-disclosure forms. He lost his re-election bid days later.

The trial attourneys could face prison time for mishandling the case due to corruption and false evidence. It is likely Ted Stevens case will be appealed if these claims are proven true. But he still won’t regain the senate seat that was taken from him.
