Dennis Hopper has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The popular American actor is canceling all travel plans to work on getting treatment. Manager Sam Maydew says the 73-year-old actor and artist is being treated through a “special program” at the University of Southern California. Asked about Hopper’s prognosis, Maydew said, “We’re hoping for the best.”

Hopper has played roles in 200 movie and television productions. Some more notable parts he has played were in Hoosiers, Speed and 24.
